What a heads-up sweep by David Bach, Eric Rodriguez didn’t even know what hit him. Congratulations to David, that was about a one side of the heads up a match as you can ever imagine, it was just 30 hands ago that Eric had a 4 to 3 chip advantage and I don’t think he won more than five of those thirty hands.
Eric should be really proud about how he played today too, I think his bluff with open kings against Brown was the play of the day. Eric came in late stages with very little chips so he can’t be too upset with $236,000 for second place.
Our winner David Bach takes home $383,000 plus the $25,000 for the last longer bet. This is his second bracelet of the year and he is certainly in the running for player of the year.
David Bach said at his exit interview:
“Obviously I’m running great, I feel like I’m playing well ,I made some great decisions I got lucky on it when I got short-stacked and from there on out it was just amazing .I just I love poker, I’ve played since I was a little kid, I started out playing Dealers Choice in Atlanta. So we played every game under the sun so I feel like I’m able to adapt to whatever we’re playing .”
